Arnel Pineda

Arnel Pineda is an Filipino musician and singer, gained fame in the Philippines in the 1890s. He was also the new lead singer for the American rock band Journey in 2007. Arnel is 54 as of 2021, he was born Arnel Campaner Pineda on the 5th of September 1967, in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. Every year, his birthday falls on September 5. Arnel turns 55 on September 5 2022. His birth sign is Virgo. Arnel is 5 feet 4 inches (164cm) in height. His family was left with an unpaid debt following the passing of his mother. His father who was behind by six months in his rent and was unable provide for his family's needs was forced to seek out relatives to help Arnel's siblings. Arnel realized the severity of his father's illness and made the decision to leave school and work for relief. Arnel was born at the St. Jude Thaddeus's Diagnostic Clinic in Tondo Manila, Philippines to Restituto L. Pineda and Josefina Mannansala Campaner. Arnel's mom encouraged him to sing as a child. The family members signed him up for singing contests. Arnel's mother was suffering from heart disease. She passed away when Arel was 13 years old. His mother died in February 2006. After her death his family was financially devastated. His father was six months behind on rent and therefore unable to bring his family a steady income. So, his father requested his family to assist Arnel. Arnel is the youngest of three siblings, Roderick Pineda and Joselito. After observing the situation, Arnel quit school and began working to ease his father's burden. Arnel went on to spend nearly two decades in the streets sleeping anywhere was he could. He sold newspapers, glass bottles as well as scrap metals, to recyclers. Arnel also did odd jobs, such as cleaning scrap metal , and docked ships. Cherry Pineda and Arnel are married. In 2001, the couple were married. Together, the couple has been blessed with two kids one daughter (Thea Chenelle Pineda) and the son (Cherub). Arnel is also blessed with Matthew and Angelo who are his older sons.
