Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy band
that specializes in the field of pop. It was formed in 2009. The group is made
up of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They
initially signed to Nick Records in 2009 before switching to Columbia Records.
The group starred in the television series on Nickelodeon with the same title,
Big Time Rush. The show aired from November 28th the 29th of 2009 to July 25,
2013. The pilot episode featured the group's very first promotional single, "Big
Time Rush". The group released three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and
Elevate (2011), and 24/Seven (2013). In 2014, the group stopped performing for
an indefinite period that ran through 2021. The group resumed live shows and
then released "Call It Like I See It". Nickelodeon signed Big Time
Rush to an album deal in 2009 in conjunction with its television show, Big Time
Rush. Nickelodeon collaborated with Columbia/Epic Label Group for production
and original music. Their debut single, "Big Time Rush" appeared on
the series' November 29th 2009. The announcement was made by Nickelodeon in
November 2009, the series was broadcast for the first time in the American
market. It then debuted internationally. It premiered during a special preview
of the series. The show is currently the show's main theme. Promo singles were
also released by the show which included "City is Ours" (with Big
Time Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush recorded
"Famous" by Play. The song debuted on iTunes on June 29 2010. The
second song, "Halfway There", was also released on iTunes following
its premiere on the show. The band quickly made it their first charting track
on the Billboard Hot 100. It reached number 93 thanks to the digital sales. The
second single from Big Time Rush, "Till You Forget About You" was
released on the 21st of September, 2010. This was to promote their debut album.
On the 11th of October, 2010 the album, which was titled BTR was released to
the general public. The album reached the top 3 spot on the Billboard 200 and
sold 67,000 copies within its first week.
