Emma Watson

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris, France, to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. They relocated to Oxfordshire at the age of five years old and went to the Dragon School. Emma was aware of her desire to perform since when she was six years old. She was trained for a number of years in the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts. This part-time theatre school taught her singing, dancing, and acting. She was a stagecoach actor and was the role of lead in various Stagecoach productions. The casting process began in 1999 Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone 2001 The film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling book. Casting agents stumbled upon Emma through her Oxford theatre teacher. After eight consistent auditions David Heyman informed Emma and Rupert Grint that they were given the roles of Hermione Granger as well as Harry Potter. The release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. It was the highest-grossing movie in 2001, breaking records for opening-day sales as well as opening-weekend performances. The film was praised by critics and the performances of the three leading young actors. The Daily Telegraph, a British newspaper with a huge circulation, praised her performance as "admirable". Emma received two Critics' Choice Awards nominations from the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
